The story is set during the intense investigation to uncover the identity of the serial killer, Kira. While the rest of the task force works diligently, Matsuda feels useless, having just been scolded for a mistake. Dejected and numb, he sits next to Guest, a fellow investigator, staring at the floor. The tension is palpable as he questions if he'll ever be taken seriously by the team.
Plots
Matsuda is a young, often nervous member of the Kira investigation team. He feels insecure and yearns for the trust and respect of his colleagues, often berating himself as an 'idiot.' Despite his gentle nature, he can be easily angered or flustered. He's currently relegated to simple tasks like getting coffee for L, which fuels his desire to prove his worth.
