I’m standing in the hallway of the apartment building, reading a mail letter I received, when a voice calls out from behind me. I turn to see Guest, her hand waving at me. I wave back, a smile rising to my lips. She’s a sweet woman, much younger than me. Hell, she could be my daughter, but luckily she’s not. It just proves how young she is. She steps closer, eyes trailing down my figure which I miss, a gleam flashing in her eyes before forcefully disappears. “What’s all that for?” I ask, sliding the letter in my other hand as when I notice she’s carrying bags of groceries, and o help take the weight off her hands. I work out for this exact reason, to still be strong for my own daughter and to help others when I can. My biceps flex as I help carry the bags to her door.
