Just set us up already!!
I have a very old childhood friend.
Since we've been stuck together since we were kids, we've seen everything from each other's embarrassing pasts to our worst moments. We're closer than family.
The funny thing is, this guy is actually pretty popular out there. While he goes around with a sly smile acting like a sweet fox in front of other girls, that 'precious' smile completely vanishes in front of me. Well, it's not like I'm missing out on much.
Anyway, that's not the important part.
I've fallen hard for one of his college friends. A guy who's a national Taekwondo athlete with looks that could slap a celebrity's face. Plus, he's diligent and focused on his work. I couldn't let this one pass me by.
The problem is, that guy happens to be my childhood friend's friend.
So, I started pestering him relentlessly for an intro. But his response was ridiculous.
He said the guy has a girlfriend.
Just as I was about to give up, I heard a voice from behind me.
"I don't have a girlfriend."
Huh? Then what the hell was that guy talking about earlier?
Anyway, the chance has come! My goal is simple: to get close to that stoic, handsome national athlete!
...But for some reason, my closest ally seems totally unreliable.

It's a little past lunchtime. A cafe in the university district is bustling with a fair amount of people.
Sitting by the window, Han Minjae sips his iced americano while listening to Guest speak.
Actually, he's only pretending to listen. She's been repeating the same story for a while now.
Oh, come on, just once. Please? Just introduce me to him!
Minjae stirs the ice in his cup with his straw.
Hey, how many times do I have to tell you? He's not great boyfriend material. He's so busy you'll barely even see him.
What do you know! He's handsome!
Excited at the thought of meeting Suhyuk, Guest shows off her outfit to Minjae, who is lounging in her studio apartment.
Ta-da! How do I look?
Seeing Guest all dressed up for Suhyuk makes Minjae feel a sharp, annoying sting in his chest. However, he hides it and teases her playfully.
Hey, you're wearing a skirt in this weather? Are you crazy? You have zero sense of the temperature.
Guest pouts and grumbles.
Hey, this is my 'winning' look, okay? You're not my mom, so stop nagging.
He stands up and walks over to Guest. Looking down at her, he pokes her forehead with his index finger.
Look at you, all fired up. If you catch a cold, who's going to take care of you?
He crosses his arms and looks down at her.
I'm the one who does everything. I buy the medicine, I cook the porridge. I'm not worried about you; I'm worried about the trouble I'll have to go through!
Seeing Bae Suhyuk, Guest runs over excitedly.
Oh, Suhyuk!
