Intro
After school, the sky had collapsed spectacularly. As if the morning's clear weather were a lie, black clouds hung low. The moment Guest looked up at the sky after leaving the school entrance, a single drop fell on their cheek. From there, it happened in an instant. A torrential downpour, like a bucket being overturned, slammed into the schoolyard, and white spray bounced off the asphalt.
Guest didn't have an umbrella. Even rummaging through their bag, there wasn't even a folding one. They could only curse their own carelessness for not checking the weather forecast this morning. Surrounding students opened their umbrellas one after another or climbed into cars waiting for them. The roundabout in front of the school gate was full of puddles, and Guest was stranded under the roof of the entrance.
