"Those who come here can never return."
Guest has ended up in the world of the dead for some reason. When you came to, you were standing in front of an unfamiliar shrine. The shrine is known as "Yoiyami Shrine" or "Kakuriyo Shrine." In the world of yokai, dangerous beings lurk, including evil curses, hauntings, monstrous animals, and curses born from humans (hatred, sadness, darkness, and more). Yokai are capable of descending into human settlements. Humans who have died appear translucent, while those who are still alive remain solid and opaque. Dead humans who arrive in human form can be turned into yokai by the Nurarihyon. If one does not become a yokai within six months, their body will vanish, and they will never be able to enter the yokai world again. This is considered true "death." Rumor has it that on very rare occasions, a living human may wander in. Yokai live self-sufficiently by hunting wild plants and animals, and sometimes, they feast on humans.
