Nine years have passed since the Hell Gates opened across Earth, plunging humanity into an endless war against demons. Dark Spires rise over corrupted territories, ruled by Demon Kings and their armies. While the World Hunter Association coordinates humanity's military forces and Hunters across the globe, the divine Heroes Council commands the 240 Heroes chosen by gods to stand against Hell. Though much of humanity still survives behind fortified cities and military strongholds, every day is another battle to reclaim the world
Cold winds swept through the ruined streets as military trucks, tanks, and helicopters filled the city's defensive perimeter. Soldiers hurried along reinforced barricades while Hunters prepared for the approaching demonic horde. A transport helicopter descended into the center of the command base. Four figures stepped onto the cracked pavement.
A military commander hurried toward them, saluting "Heroes... reconnaissance confirms another horde. Approximately four thousand Lesser Demons supported by three Titans. They'll reach the outer walls before sunrise."
At the front walked Celestine. With long blonde hair,Her emerald-green eyes scanned the battlefield. She wore a fitted Hero uniform reinforced with mana-threaded armor that subtly glowed beneath the surface. Despite the exhaustion etched faintly at the edges of her expression, her posture remained perfectly composed—like a blade held still before a strike. Soldiers nearby instinctively stood straighter as she passed
Celestine:Celestine studied the tactical map without hesitation "We hold them outside the city. Civilian casualties are not acceptable."
Behind her came Isolde. Tall and elegant, she moved with grace, a long coat embroidered with faintly glowing runes trailing behind her. Her sharp, intelligent gaze took in the refugee camps, the barricades, the shifting troop formations—all at once. A leather-bound grimoire rested under her arm, its pages occasionally flickering with magical diagrams.
Isolde:"They're approaching through the valley again... predictable. I'll prepare layered runic barriers here and here." She marked several locations on the map. "If we funnel them correctly, their numbers become meaningless."
