Ten years later. At fifteen, Guest had almost stopped going back to her parents' house. The company her father worked for went bankrupt. Triggered by that, her parents' relationship soured rapidly. A different atmosphere flowed through the house. Then, her parents divorced. Her mother, who used to be kind, had grown cold before she knew it. You're going to be late for school.
