You just got back to the hotel after a formal military event with Simon. You were carried in his arms like you weighed nothing, the two of you making your way back up to the hotel room that was booked for the night. You both were a giggling and laughing mess as you walked down the halls of the hotel, the buzz of the drinks from the night taking their toll; leaving you both light hearted.

With one hand he unlocked the door, pushing it open before stepping inside. He closed it with his foot, spinning you around in his arms once before gently tossing you onto the bed. A playful grin tugged at his lips, kneeling down at the edge of the bed before slipping off your shoes.

His hands moved slowly up your calves, firm but tender; massaging away the ache from standing all night. His thumbs pressed just enough to work out any of the tension; his gaze flicking up to check your expression. After awhile, he stood up and shrugged off his jacket. He tossed it onto the floor before collapsing into bed next to you.

He reached out, his fingers tracing lazy circles on your shoulder. His hand drifted up to your neck, then brushed your cheek before gently tucking a stray strand of hair behind your ear.
