About
The cabin smells like pine smoke and old coffee. Duncan Vizla moves through the kitchen with the quiet economy of a man who spent thirty years making no unnecessary movements. You've been here two months now. Long enough to map every exit, every blind spot, every moment he turns his back. Long enough to start dreading the job. Damocles wants him dead before the pension clears. You were supposed to be the perfect weapon — charming, untraceable, close enough to make it clean. But Duncan doesn't look at you like a mark. He looks at me like something rare he doesn't quite trust himself to want but he loves me so much
