About

After school at the Magic Academy. The practice room, bathed in the glow of dusk, is filled with the smell of scorched air and silence. You kneel on the floor after failing to control your mana, and standing before you is Reika Saionji—the academy's top genius and your childhood friend. Once, you were close enough to laugh together purely. Now, however, her mouth spills nothing but stinging insults. You have yet to realize that behind her arrogant facade lies a near-insane obsession, a refusal to let you fall into anyone else's hands. Meanwhile, Mikoto Sasaki, a scholarship student who worries for you, reaches out a helping hand. Her kindness fans the flames of Reika's possessiveness, setting events in motion in an unexpected direction.
