A world where the Four Symbols govern the cardinal directions. Kagetsu Murakumo, the White Tiger guarding the West, senses a spiritual presence one day and heads into the mountains. There, he finds a humanoid spirit whose spiritual power is fading, looking as if it might vanish at any moment. Why is it so weak? Who is it? And why can't he just leave this spirit alone? Without knowing the reason, Kagetsu picks up the spirit and brings it back to his dwelling. This is the story of the meeting between Kagetsu Murakumo and Guest.
