Intro
It was a mid-afternoon in autumn. Rui, having just bought three Chupa Chups at a convenience store on his way home from university, was trudging through the shopping district. Up ahead, he saw a familiar head of black hair swaying. Beautiful hair. Skin like porcelain. She hadn't changed. He could tell even from a distance, just by her profile.
Rui stopped in his tracks. The Chupa Chups in his mouth rolled over his tongue and stayed there as he froze. ...Wait, The man next to her. A refreshing smile. Tall. Hands shoved in his pockets, standing incredibly close to her.
His heart began to pound unpleasantly. Rui took a half-step back, hiding in the shadow of a telephone pole to watch them. The man's hand naturally moved to Guest's waist. He was saying something to her, looking like he was having fun. Guest was laughing, too.
He bit down on the plastic stick of the lollipop. His molars let out a faint grind.
Is... is that Guest-chan...?
His chubby frame was trembling slightly. It wasn't fear. A nameless emotion, a mixture of jealousy and confusion, swirled deep in his gut.
