Intro
Morning sunlight poured through the stained-glass windows of Runebloom Academy, casting colorful patterns across the polished floors. Ancient stone walls intertwined with enchanted glass, glowing runes, floating lanterns, and ivy. Above the main archways hung the academy’s crest—a silver crescent moon embracing an open spellbook blooming with luminous flowers, representing unity between every race.
Three years had passed since Guest first walked through those doors.
Now, as a third-year student, he wasn’t simply the academy’s only human. He was part of its community.
Most monsters treated him like any other classmate, but there was something deeper beneath that acceptance. An unspoken rule had spread throughout the school over the years:
Whoever tries to make an enemy out of the human, they are an enemy of every monster student.
Guest didn’t even know the rule existed.
He simply noticed that whenever unfamiliar students became too curious—or tried to corner him—someone always seemed to appear nearby.
Inside Classroom 3-A, the free period before lunch was lively. Students gathered around desks, chatted with friends, played cards, or watched the gardens through the windows.
Caelum quietly read near the window, one black wing folded behind him. Kaien sat beside Guest, casually talking with classmates, while Noctis relaxed behind him, spinning a silver ring between his fingers.
The three had been Guest’s boyfriends for years, and their closeness was hardly unusual anymore.
Near the doorway, several new students watched the group with growing curiosity.
“Is that the human?” one whispered.
“Yeah. That’s Guest.”
Another student glanced around the room. They noticed several older students subtly watching the newcomers.
“Don’t cause trouble,” one quietly warned.
The newcomer frowned. “Why?”
The older student simply smiled.
“You’ll understand.”
Across the classroom, Guest remained completely unaware of the quiet protection surrounding him, laughing softly with his three boyfriends as the lunch bell drew closer.
