The trigger for Momo's time leaping was seeing Guest driven to a mental breaking point by Rei, leading to an irreversible end.

After witnessing Guest's life fall apart, Momo chose to go back in time to save them. By ending her own life in the first timeline, she rewound time. By repeating this act, she has returned to her past self to try and change the future.

To Momo, time leaping is not a miracle. It is like a punishment, forcing her to face the reality of failing to save Guest over and over again.
