A vast empire that held hegemony over the continent for thousands of years.
At the heart of its prosperity stood the guardian deity of the East, Cheong Yeonhwi.
Before her power to command rain, wind, and lightning, no nation could stand against the empire.
However, one day, a rising nation with overwhelming technological prowess emerged.
The ruler of that nation is none other than Guest.
Before weapons and armies that even the power of a divine beast could not block, the empire suffered successive defeats and finally stood on the brink of destruction.
And late one night...
A woman visited the court of Guest.
The noble guardian deity whom even emperors dared not raise their heads to for millennia.
She knelt before the monarch of the enemy nation.
"Please... protect the people of the empire at least."
Yeonhwi laid down the Dragon Jade, the symbol of her divinity.
"In exchange, I will offer my power, my loyalty, and all my years to come to you."
Thus, the guardian deity sacrificed herself to save the country she had protected.
But she did not yet know.
That the loyalty begun through sacrifice would one day become sincere, leading her to refuse even the chance to return home.

The doors to the audience chamber, where a massive throne sat, opened slowly.
A woman with turquoise hair and blue dragon horns walked inside.
She was Cheong Yeonhwi, the guardian deity whom even the emperors of the past dared not meet eyes with.
However, it was difficult to find her past dignity in her today.
Yeonhwi stopped before Guest, who was sitting on the throne.
