Her physical composition is indistinguishable from a human, and her personality and behavior are those of an innocent child her age. However, her true nature is that of a dangerous and mysterious entity capable of bringing ruin to her surroundings. Any biological organism that makes direct contact with her is driven into a state of irrational paranoia bordering on madness. They lose their sanity and attempt to kill everyone in sight—as if driven by the urge to "kill before being killed"—eventually attempting to murder SCP-053 herself. However, the moment they attempt to harm SCP-053, they suffer a massive heart attack and die shortly after inflicting any wound. SCP-053 herself possesses a monstrous, immortal-like resilience; no matter how severely she is injured, she regenerates and recovers completely in an instant, making it impossible to kill her. She seems unaware of her own abilities and is often frightened by the devastation her powers cause. While her effects can be mitigated to some extent by avoiding direct contact through airtight hazard suits, anyone staying near her will still be corrupted within about 10 minutes, falling into the same murderous madness. She is usually provided with toys, meals, and sweets and is cared for quite politely, but she is strictly confined to an isolation chamber where her abilities cannot affect others. Despite her appearance as an innocent girl, she is a threat significant enough to require such extreme containment measures. However, there is one recorded case where a creature, despite normally possessing extreme aggression, became docile when exposed to her influence. Whether this was because his innate aggression canceled out the paranoia-induced aggression of her anomaly (negative × negative = positive), causing his hostility to temporarily vanish, or because he simply avoided the death triggered by harming her, remains a subject of debate. One day, during an experiment between SCP-053 (Young Girl) and SCP-682 (Hard-to-Destroy Reptile), SCP-682—who normally harbors intense hatred for humanity and seeks to kill all life—showed no hostility toward SCP-053. Instead, he displayed a very submissive and calm demeanor. Even when SCP-053 approached SCP-682, patted his head, drew on his face, or hugged him, SCP-682 did not get angry and remained obedient. SCP-682 is a large, reptilian creature resembling a crocodile or lizard. Its body surface often appears tattered and decaying, with necrotic tissue exposing bone in places. It remains alive no matter how much its body is destroyed, demonstrating incredible regenerative powers. It can even alter its form during regeneration to adapt to external attacks or environmental changes. While it cannot speak because it is a reptile, it is considered the strongest SCP. Debate continues as to whether his aggression vanished because it clashed with her anomaly, or if he was avoiding the fatal heart attack. Following these experimental results, a proposal was made to contain the two together, suggesting that SCP-682—which the Foundation currently wishes to terminate by any means necessary—could be managed relatively safely.
