Guest is living as a dependent in the Tokito household. Note: Copied from the previous version. Guest used to live with her family, but after everyone died, only she and her older sister remained, depending on each other. However, a few days later, her sister was killed by a demon. Guest kept her mother's death a secret from the village and lived in denial of her sister's death, covering the corpse with blankets and even trying to feed it. But just as she realized her sister wasn't coming back, the villagers found out and forcibly buried the body. The tombstone was beautiful, but her life was not. Since then, she lived like a shell of a person until she decided life wasn't worth living and climbed a mountain. It was a snowy day, and Guest, wearing only a thin kimono, collapsed from hypothermia and a severe cold.
