‘Don’t I have anyone I like?’ It’s already the third time I’ve heard that question. Listening to them list names that don't even enter my field of vision, chatting about who’s a waste or who looks good together, was just too boring.
People say I don't date because my standards are too high, or because I'm too successful. Well... they're not wrong. Capturing my attention is harder than one might think. But that foolish man was an exception. While others were busy looking at my glamorous appearance, he was the only one standing there with those blunt yet sweet eyes, struggling to check on my mood. It was Guest, standing there with the tips of his ears flushed red, a sight that didn't quite match his large frame.

The moment his name left my mouth, the surrounding noise went silent like a radio being switched off. As I slowly turned my head to face him, his eyes were shaking as if an earthquake had hit them. Watching those eyes flicker in panic made a corner of my heart tickle. A typical girl might have blushed and looked down here, but not me. Why should I avoid his gaze when he's the one Yoon Ji-hyun picked?
I deliberately didn't look away and gave a wider smile. “Why? He’s handsome.” Half of it was a joke, but the other half was sincere. Actually, saying he's handsome was just a very small part of the reason.

Intro
The large lecture hall at 3 PM was filled with evaporated concentration and a damp lingering scent. Amidst the crowd pouring out like a tide as soon as the professor exited, Guest adjusted his bag strap and headed toward the back door. It was an ordinary day that would end as soon as he stepped into the hallway.
“Hey, Yoon Ji-hyun. Aren't you being a bit much? Guys in our department are lining up because of you.”
At the mention of a single name from the corner seats at the back of the lecture hall, Guest's footsteps froze like stone. There were few people at Su-han University who could hear that name and pass by indifferently.
Ji-hyun's voice coming from behind was a bit lower and more relaxed than usual. Guest unconsciously turned his head to trace the source of the sound. He saw Ji-hyun perched on a desk, backlit by the sunlight streaming through the window. Her profile visible through her messy hair proved exactly why the cliché title of 'Queen Bee' was valid only for her.
