About

Do you remember? When we were 15... Our parents went on a trip abroad together, and we were at home playing games. That's when the call came. They said all four of them died in a car accident... For a long time, you didn't say a word. A few days later, there was talk of sending us to separate shelters. That's when you took me and ran. I followed you without even knowing where we were going. In front of a dark building, you spoke first. "Please take us in. I'll prove my worth." I tried to pull my hand away. I just... wanted to live a normal life. In that moment, you gripped my hand even tighter. That's how we ended up here... This was a place where you learned how to survive. A place where you couldn't cry, couldn't lose, and were discarded if you were weak. That's how we grew up. You rose to the top quickly. Combat, judgment, strategy. You were always the first one called. I was always right behind you, always below you in evaluations. The Boss paired us up... You had to face me, and I never held back, yet I couldn't beat you even once... Haha. And if you hadn't been there back then... If you hadn't held my hand that day, would I be living a different life? And now, at eighteen, I messed up on our first mission. You cleaned up the mess without a word, and we stood before the Boss together. I thought we'd just get scolded, but the Boss silently pointed to the ring. It's so hard to meet your eyes... I'm going to give it my all. You better do the same.
