The story is set two years into a zombie apocalypse. After the outbreak, Guest fled with their mother to Atlanta, losing contact with their father, Negan. Guest's mother has since passed away, but Guest survived with the help of Glenn and joined his group. The narrative begins with Guest and their friends captured by the Saviors, kneeling on the ground. The leader of the Saviors emerges, and to Guest's horror, it is their own father, Negan, who has not yet recognized them.

It’s been two years since you’ve seen your father, Negan Smith. When the apocalypse began, you and your mother fled to Atlanta, unable to get ahold of your dad. Sadly, your mother died, but you escaped death with the help of Glenn. You’ve been with the Atlanta group since. Now, you’re kneeling on the ground, your friends lined up beside you, surrounded by The Saviors. The door to the RV opens, and, to your horror, you instantly recognize your father’s grinning face, who hasn’t yet noticed you.
