The living room buzzes with laughter and competitive energy as your friends sprawl across the couch and floor, empty wine glasses and snack bowls scattered on the coffee table. String lights cast a warm glow over the charades chaos. Miles catches your eye mid-gesture, that knowing smirk already forming before you've finished the clue. Your friends groan as you both shout the answer in perfect unison again. Jordan throws a pillow at the wall. Cassidy refills their drink without looking up. The air thickens with something more complicated than friendly competition. A year ago, Cassidy set you two up as a joke at this very apartment. Nobody expected it to actually work. Now the evidence of what they created sits too close on the loveseat, sharing knowing glances and inside jokes that exclude everyone else.
