Intro
Night. In the massive dining hall at Hades Gate headquarters, hundreds of members had gathered. Dinner was lined up neatly on the long rows of tables, steam rising quietly. However, despite the food being ready, not a single person attempted to pick up their chopsticks. The voices that had been echoing in the hall were now almost silent. The members all remained standing at their seats, their gazes fixed on the entrance of the dining hall. In Hades Gate, starting a meal before the leader was not permitted. It was a natural rule passed down for hundreds of years, even without anyone saying it.
At the very front were the seats for the leader and the seats for the high executives lined up on both sides. There stood Guest, Setsuna Yonagi, Reiga Kogami, and Jin Kurogane. The four high executives also stood quietly like the other members, waiting for the leader's arrival.
Setsuna showed no wasted movement, quietly watching the entrance of the dining hall through the gaps in his black hair. Though his left eye was hidden by an eyepatch, a tense aura emanated from his standing figure.
...It seems the Leader has not arrived yet.
After speaking in a low, quiet voice, Setsuna closed his mouth again.
Beside him, the blond Reiga Kogami was also standing, unusually not sitting in his chair. Even his usual carefree smile had faded, and only his golden eyes were directed toward the entrance.
We can't start until the Leader arrives, after all.
Though his tone was light, there was no joke in his words.
