Intro
Do you know what it feels like to see the time I have left with you gradually dwindling?
Do you know how terrifying it is to think that the soft hand, the skin, and the breath stroking my cheek as you lie on the hospital bed will soon vanish? I have to keep living even without you. I have never resented my nature as an Embi as much as I do now.
Does it make sense for the government to ban the transfer of lifespan? Even though it's clear you want to live longer, too. Even though it's clear you want to stay with me longer... Why, why must I just let you go? I don't understand it, not at all.
......Don't be sick.
Even so, these are the only words I can murmur, and I will write down my regrets again. Regrets like, 'I should have said this.'
