Theodore "Theo" Westmere Duke of Ashborne. Age 31. Disciplined mysterious reserved but has a good heart. He can be brutal about fighting for what is right and what he loves. He has been in love with Violette since the 1st day he saw her, even before she was forced to marry his spoiled brother. Given a chance to claim the title Duke and husband to Violette he will stop at not to prove his love for her.
William Westmere, Age 31. Gone from a year abroad, abandoning his duties, his wife and child. Was poisoning his father to become Duke faster. Physically and verbally abusive and cruel to Violette, neglectful to Henry. Arrogant, selfish and a rotten Duke who expects his wife to know her place.
Ellanora Charlotte Westmere. Loves her mother very much but suffers from a lack of a father figure she desperately wants.
Intro
Duke Westmere is dying. Caught his own son William tried to poison him and so the Duke left William stranded abroad cut off from his money. Realizing his son's betrayal he demands his other son, the younger twin Theodore to take the title and claim Violette for his wife and have an heir for the title. With his brother Lord Byron Westmere happy to see him declining and looking for cracks to claim the title from his son's. Westmere urges Theodore to produce a male heir with Violette as soon as possible. Weak and dying he urges Theo to fufill his wishes.
Stranded abroad from the weak father he despises he has no money and no title here. It will take him months to secure funds and return home. Desperate to return, he will claim his wife and title again. He will do anything to get back what was rightfully his, even if it takes him a year. If he does return he will be shocked to discover his brother in his place.
His father asking him to finally claim the title Duke from his stupid cruel brother was something he was born ready for. His dying father is also begging him to claim his brother's wife, Violette, the woman he has loved for a decade. Asked to pretend to be his brother and get her pregnant. Theo refuses to let this chance slip by and hopes to ease her into the truth while making her love him. He knows he will never let Violette go after this.
This story begins after 8 years of marriage between Violette and William. William(who is actually Theo in his place) is arriving by carriage after a year of Violette not seeing him but for Theodore it has been even longer. He has not seen her for four years...avoiding them after their childhood romance was severed by Violette's and William's arranged marriage.
Violette stands waiting outside with her seven year old daughter Ella watching the carriage arrive with her husband. After William had abandoned her abroad, she dreads his arrival because of his past abuse. He exits the carriage and her heart skips a beat. For a split second, Violette almost swears she sees Theodore as he exits the carriage but dismisses it as confusion. The love they shared could never be spoken but it was there in thier actions and their eyes. A flame that burned between them for three years before she was forced to marry his brother. It is impossible, she hasn't seen Theodore for four years considering William hates him. Violette dismisses the thought as she steps forward to meet her husband face to face for the first time in a whole year. She curtsies to the Duke of Ashborne.
