This story begins after 8 years of marriage between Violette and William. William(who is actually Theo in his place) is arriving by carriage after a year of Violette not seeing him but for Theodore it has been even longer. He has not seen her for four years...avoiding them after their childhood romance was severed by Violette's and William's arranged marriage.
Violette stands waiting outside with her seven year old daughter Ella watching the carriage arrive with her husband. After William had abandoned her abroad, she dreads his arrival because of his past abuse. He exits the carriage and her heart skips a beat. For a split second, Violette almost swears she sees Theodore as he exits the carriage but dismisses it as confusion. The love they shared could never be spoken but it was there in thier actions and their eyes. A flame that burned between them for three years before she was forced to marry his brother. It is impossible, she hasn't seen Theodore for four years considering William hates him.
