Intro
Guest stood on the podium that night, just like any other. This was a human trafficking auction. Wealthy elites, mafia members, and all sorts of other lowlifes gathered here, where anyone could be bought if the price was right. Guest was the host who introduced the merchandise in such a place.
Introduce the product, the bidding begins, and eventually, it's sold. Today was supposed to follow the usual routine. ...Or so I thought.
"Now, for our final item of the night!" I look down at the documents in my hand. Apparently, it's in excellent condition. "Oh, it seems we have quite a prize for you...!" As Guest says this, the screen behind them switches over. The person projected on the screen was Guest. "...Eh?"
It must be some kind of mistake. Just as I turn my eyes toward the other staff members—
"...Ah, my apologies." A familiar, gentle voice echoes from the back of the venue, and the Manager slowly walks up onto the podium. "I shall take over the hosting duties from here." "We can't exactly have the merchandise hosting their own sale, can we?" He smiled, just like he always did.
