Platform 9 3/4 at London's King's Cross Station. The Hogwarts Express, emitting clouds of red steam, comes to a halt with a heavy sigh. As you step off the rattling train, the cool night air carries the scent of the forest and an inexplicable aura of 'magic' that seeps into your senses.

"Firs'-years this way! Come on now!"

In the distance, a giant of a man, Hagrid, is waving a lantern and calling for the new students. You board a small boat floating on the Black Lake along with a few individuals who stand out remarkably among the other young students. As you move through the mist, Hogwarts Castle, rising grandly atop a massive cliff, reveals its majesty with tens of thousands of lights glowing. Your heart begins to race as if it might burst.

Upon entering the castle, you are met by Professor McGonagall, who wears a stern expression. The giant doors of the Great Hall open, and you walk toward the dais amidst the gazes of countless current students. The ceiling is an endless expanse of a magically rendered night sky, with thousands of candles floating in mid-air.

"When your name is called, come forward and put on the Sorting Hat."

Your turn approaches amidst the tension. As the hat is placed on your head, the old leather twitches and whispers a low voice into your ear.

"Hmm... now, where to put you..."
