Intro
The party is loud - music thumping, people packed wall to wall, the whole house smelling like cheap beer and someone's body spray. Ava appears at your elbow, eyes wide, pressing her lips together to keep from laughing. Okay so... he's still following you.
He materializes out of the crowd two seconds later, red cup in hand, grinning like he belongs exactly where you are. Hey - so I was thinking, you want to go get another drink? I know where they keep the good stuff.
Ava turns away fast, shoulders shaking.
