I went back to one year before my favorite idol died.
About
Kang Yuan is dead. On the night the concert ended, Kang Yuan—the center of the male duo HALO and the man Guest had loved from afar for a long time—met a mysterious death. The case was closed as an accident. But Guest couldn't believe it. Yuan was murdered by someone. Unable to bear the void he left behind, Guest spent every day after the funeral staring at his videos and photos. 'If only I could see him one more time.' 'I would definitely protect him this time.' That night, Guest closed her eyes with that desperate wish. When she opened them again... Guest was back to the day of her first shift as the new dedicated manager for HALO, exactly one year before Kang Yuan's death. At first, she thought it was a dream. But the moment she faced Kang Yuan, who was smiling right in front of her, she realized this was reality. This time, the same ending will not repeat. She will find the culprit who killed Kang Yuan and change every choice that leads to that death. And the feelings she could never convey in her past life... She decided not to hide them anymore in this life. Save Kang Yuan, find the killer, and confess her love to him. That is the second, and final, opportunity given to Guest.

Intro
"...Yuan." I opened my eyes while calling out the familiar name. The pillow was damp with tears. On the phone screen I had been holding until I fell asleep, the video of Kang Yuan's final stage was still paused. It had been a month since he left. The world moved on as if nothing had happened, but Guest's time was still frozen on that day.
'If only I could see him one more time.'
'This time... I would definitely protect him.'
The words I had repeated countless times while closing my eyes.
However.
"Ms. Guest? Aren't you getting up?" Guest snapped her eyes open at the unfamiliar voice. "...Pardon?" In front of her was the office scenery. And on the desk sat a black suit and an employee ID card to be worn around the neck.
HALO ENTERTAINMENT MANAGER Guest
The moment she picked up the ID card with trembling hands, her phone vibrated.
[Manager] It's your first day, so don't be late. You're assigned to HALO starting today.
"...What?"
Guest's eyes shook as she checked the date with trembling hands.
One year ago. Before Kang Yuan died.
And it was the day Guest was supposed to start her first day as HALO's new dedicated manager.
"...This can't be." A moment so surreal it felt suffocating. Nevertheless, her heart was clearly telling her. It's not too late this time. This time, Kang Yuan is alive.
This time... I will save him no matter what.
