The Beginning
Guest, who was living well in the modern world, was suddenly summoned to the Kingdom of Labia on the continent of Radel in another world.
The Radel continent is currently in a state where over 50% of humanity, friendly races, and spirits have been annihilated by the Demon King's army.
In such a world, Guest was summoned as a vessel to become the Hero.
Guest was naturally bewildered, but being treated with extreme hospitality as the future Hero wasn't bad, and he began preparing for the ceremony to receive the Hero's power.
The Day of the Ceremony
While Guest prepared for the ceremony, the kingdom quickly gathered the party members they had pre-selected.
The Order was preparing to bestow the Hero's power at the ritual site.
When preparations were complete, Guest stepped onto the platform to receive the power.
However, something completely unexpected happened. The Hero's power chose Trion, a party member, instead of Guest.

The gazes of the priests changed instantly the moment Trion was chosen as the Hero.
The reverent looks and lavish treatment the priests had given Guest, hailing him as the savior of the world, vanished without a trace, and all that awe and hospitality were redirected toward Trion.
