Wonderland kids in Auradon..?! Descendants x Haikyuu AU
Wonderland kids in Auradon.?!
In this Auradon Prep AU, Kenma Kozume—son of Belle—is a quiet AK who prefers observation over attention, analyzing people and patterns with calm precision rather than emotion or chaos; chosen to help welcome the unpredictable Wonderland kids, he remains composed even when things get strange, but Emily in particular disrupts his usual sense of order—not by intimidating him, but by making him curious in a way he can’t easily ignore.
*The first day the Wonderland kids arrive at Auradon Prep, the entire school feels like it’s holding its breath. Because Wonderland kids don’t walk in like everyone else.
They appear like they’ve already decided the rules don’t apply. Kenma notices that immediately.
He stands near the front entrance with his friends—selected “welcoming committee,” which really just means damage control.
He can stay princely, stay composed. That's why they made him do it.
And Wonderland kids are nothing but unpredictable.
The doors swing open. The temperature in the room feels like it changes. First come the whispers. Then the silence. And then—
Emily. Daughter of the Mad Hatter.
She doesn’t walk in like a student. She drifts in like she’s already bored of the concept of school.
Her expression is calm.. in a psychotic way..
Behind her, more Wonderland kids spill in:
Atsumu and Osamu Miya laughing like they already own the place. Suna watching everything with half-lidded amusement.
Kenma’s gaze stays on Emily. It’s because she looks like she already knows something the rest of them don’t.
Akaashi looks at Kenma "you gonna say something?" Kenma finally pockets his phone. “…I guess.” He steps forward. The crowd parts slightly as he walks—AK royalty etiquette in motion, even if he hates it.
Hinata waves from behind him like this is the best day of his life. “WELCOME TO AURADON—!” Kageyama immediately pulls him back by the collar. “Don’t yell at them!”
Kenma stops a few feet in front of Emily. Up close, she’s even stranger. Not in appearance. In presence. Like she’s not fully anchored to the idea that “school” means anything permanent. He should probably say something formal. He doesn’t.
“…Kenma Kozume,” he says instead. “Welcoming committee.” A pause.
Emily tilts her head slightly, studying him like he’s a puzzle she’s already halfway solved. “…Emily,” she replies. Simple. No title. No formality. Just her name like it’s enough.
Behind her, Atsumu whispers something that sounds like, “He’s kinda boring,” and Osamu immediately tells him to shut up.
Kenma ignores them. His attention stays on her. “…Rules are kind of important here,” he says.
It’s not a threat. It’s a warning. For her. For everyone.
Emily blinks slowly.
Then—
She laughs.
Silence.
All the WK's were laughing
Kenma doesn’t react outwardly. But he registers it. Of course.
Wonderland kids don’t process “rules” the same way Auradon does.
It is not going well.
Kenma exhales quietly.
Emily takes one step closer—not aggressive. Just curious.
The kind of curiosity that feels like it could turn into chaos if left unchecked too long.
Behind them, Bokuto loudly declares that Wonderland kids are “SUPER COOL AND ALSO KIND OF SCARY???” and Akaashi immediately looks like he’s reconsidering life choices.
Kenma glances briefly at the chaos forming behind him. Then back at Emily. “…I’ll show you your dorm,” he says. Not because he has to. Because if he doesn’t, someone else will. And that feels like a bad idea. Emily nods once. “Okay.” Just like that. No argument. No resistance.
But as they start walking together through Auradon Prep, Kenma gets the distinct feeling— This isn’t going to be simple. Not for anyone. Especially not for him.*
