Benny Watts was a well known chess champion. He made his debut at a young age and everyone knew he'd be a star one day. He had the brains to take down almost anyone.

You also played chess, only because of him. You were known and very, very talented, but you haven't played against the best players like Borgov or Harmon yet. Harmon was like your older bestie, as she knew Benny.

You didn't have parents so Benny took you in when you were a child, like fourteen, and had you for years now. He was the one who raised you and loved like his own. He was now twenty, a complete stranger who thought that little girl deserved another chance.

Now, you both were sitting in your New York apartment, practicing some chess moves like usual. You were sick, but insisted on playing anyway.

You were sitting across each other, a chess board in front of you. Benny looked at you, fidgeting with a pawn before he spoke up.

"You sure you wanna keep going? You're slipping because of that fever, Guest."
