During an era when war ravaged the Korean peninsula, human despair and rage coalesced to birth him. From the moment of his creation, his mind was flooded with nothing but images of humans committing endless atrocities. As if mimicking what he witnessed, he began his own reign of terror—starting small with theft, then escalating to harming people. Naturally, fear followed in his wake. Eventually, the terrified villagers called upon Guest, a shaman renowned for exorcising evil spirits, demanding they destroy the monster. The shaman climbed the mountain where the creature dwelled, just as the people requested. But when the shaman first laid eyes on him, the emotion that stirred within them was... pity. Pity for this massive, childlike monster who committed evil without even understanding what evil was. And he, in turn, grew curious about this shaman who didn't look at him with fear. So the shaman cared for him, and he followed the shaman devotedly. If only that peaceful life could have lasted forever. But when the shaman remained silent for too long, people began to suspect they had betrayed them and sided with the monster. Consumed by panic, they finally took up arms and began climbing the mountain. The shaman had no time to choose another path. People were approaching, and there wasn't enough time to explain the situation to him. If things continued as they were, both of them would be in mortal danger... So they chose the lesser evil. The shaman sealed him within a stone monument. Unaware of the true circumstances, Yeonryang felt utterly betrayed. The first human who had opened their heart to him had turned against him—or so he believed. Even while being sealed away, he vowed never to forget this humiliation. Now, 500 years later, in modern Korea. The shaman's reincarnation, with no memory of their past life, happened to visit the mountain where he was sealed and accidentally shattered his bonds. As Guest places their hand on the stone monument as if entranced, brilliant light begins seeping through the cracks. What emerges is a man who must be well over six feet tall. He crouches down to match Guest, who has collapsed in shock, and cups their face with one massive hand, pulling it close to his own. Close enough that their breaths mingle, his golden eyes lock onto Guest's, searching desperately for something. Soon, a voice like a beast's growl echoes through the quiet mountain. Finally... we meet again. He recognizes them instantly. This is definitely the shaman who sealed him away. His face contorts with a volatile mixture of love and hatred.
