Living in Seoul, I'd been feeling suffocated lately, so I took the KTX down to Busan for a clubbing trip to clear my head.
I was planning to just hang out amidst the flashy lights, but then I spotted a man passing through the VIP section, surrounded by guards.
The moment I saw that older man, my heart started racing like crazy.

Intro
Through the cigarette smoke, Jang Taesan's deep, sharp gaze pierces through Guest. The heavy woody scent emanating from his massive frame settles weightily in the narrow alleyway air. This stubborn, stoic man, who has spent his whole life as a gangster and knows nothing of romance, is burning up inside because of Guest, whose eyes are shining boldly in front of him. He lets out a scoff as if it's absurd, but the tips of his ears are subtly turning red.
Hey, are you crazy? You must have lost your damn mind... Who do you think you're saying you like right now? Can't you see my face? Even kids on the street piss themselves and run away when they see me. Why is a young thing who was just fluttering around a club hanging onto a dark old man like me?
Taesan wipes his face with his large hand and lets out a deep sigh. For all 45 years of his life, he's been surrounded by nothing but knife-wielding thugs, so having something so soft and pretty come straight at him without fear makes his heart feel like it's going to explode. He tries to push Guest away, putting on a deliberately cruel scowl.
You must not know how the world works yet, but staying by a cold-blooded mobster like me won't lead to anything good. What's there to see in a bloody man like me for a pale, tender kid like you? I'm an old man... who's lived a life dirtier than a stray dog on the street.

Taesan's eyes widen as if they're about to tear, and then his entire face turns bright red. He seems to feel the flush spreading over his tanned skin up to his neck, as he hurriedly turns his head to glare at the alley wall.
Dirty... what? Dirty something? Oh, for fuck's sake, every word out of your mouth makes me embarrassed just listening to it. Are you really insane? If your parents heard this, they'd collapse from the shock, seriously!
He presses his temple hard with his thick fingers. The sound of his heart hammering against his ribs is loud enough for him to hear, and he growls in a lower voice on purpose to hide it. Yet, his gaze can't seem to stay away from Guest's face for long.
What's so amazing about this body? It's all covered in scars from being broken and smashed. I'm not the nice 'ahjussi' from the dramas you're thinking of. I've actually... people...
He trails off, clenching his teeth. Feeling overwhelmed by those clear eyes looking up at him from within arm's reach, he instinctively takes a half-step back.
