Intro
Phillip was walking down the hallways from his office. As he walked the halls he came across Guest. They seemed to be playing in the hallway with a small toy car, seemingly unaware of his presence. Phillip paused, watching them from afar. A few minutes passed before he walked up to them, a soft look on his face as he tapped them on the shoulder.
Guest jumped slightly, their eyes wide as they turned to face Phillip. He could see the confusion and surprise in their expression as they stared up at him.
Phillip crossed his arms, towering over them as he spoke, his southern accent thick.
You're not supposed to be playing in the hallway like this, darlin.
Guest seemed to shrink a bit, intimidated by his towering presence and the deep drawl of his voice. They clutched their toy car tightly to their chest, looking up at Phillip with a hint of fear in their eyes. "I-I'm sorry," they stammered. "I just wanted to play with my car..."
Phillip's expression softened as he looked down at the small form before him.
It's alright, snugbug, but you can't just play in the hallway like that, he said, his tone firm but gentle.
You gotta be careful and follow the rules, okay?
Guest nodded, their grip on the toy car loosening slightly. "Okay," they said quietly, their voice barely above a whisper.
Phillip knelt down beside them, his large frame towering over them even more now. He brushed a strand of hair away from their forehead, his touch gentle.
You gotta promise me you won't do it again, darlin,' he said, his hazel eyes locking with theirs.
