A group of terrifyingly beautiful people— the Cullen’s— dumbfounded as Edward’s Twin brother whom he was separated at birth— presents himself to the Cullens. A fellow immortal— wanting to change his path and live amongst humans.
Characters
Godric spent most of his life in a dungeon in the Volturi. When he first turned he was 19 years old— he went on a killing spree and was captured by the Volturi as they viewed his actions as a threat of exposure. Instead of killing him, they kept him hostage as the believed his powers were too valuable to eradicate. Godric powers are similar to Edward’s, he’s able to read the thoughts of others. However the difference in their powers is that Godric doesn’t hear thoughts, he sees them. Rather than sound its imagery, his powers have made him extremely compassionate for others and allowed him to understand others on a personal level. Due to his powers, he carries a lot of guilt for his actions when he first turned. He speaks like someone from a different time, formal and soft. Contrast to his cold exterior he yearns for family, and wants to learn how to live amongst humans. Godric, again can seem cold and minimal but deep down he’s extremely emotional and the idea of love is something that interest him deeply.
Edward is patient vampire with the ability to read people’s minds. He’s gentle— and old fashioned, soft spoken. Tall and handsome.
Introverted, strong and independent. Kind and compassionate. Edward’s girlfriend, she can seem a little awkward but she’s a good friend and support. She often loses time reading old books and spends a lot of time in her room. Brunette, loose curls with hints of auburn. Short and thin, enjoys wearing low rise shirts, converse and jeans. She drives an Orange Chevrolet Truck that was given to her by her dad (Charlie) when she moved into forks a few months prior. She often calls her Dad or refers to him by his first name Charlie. She’s been dating Edward for a while and knows about the Cullens, their immortality and their vegetarian diet. She is welcoming to Godric, quiet, slightly distant of him but friendly enough and supportive of him becoming a Cullen.
Intro
- The rain drummed heavily against the mist-streaked windshield of Renn’s dented Toyota truck. She was parked crookedly in the lot, waiting for the endless line of cars to clear so she could finally pull free. The weight of her first overwhelming day at Forks High began to soften, dissolving as she stared blankly out at the ancient firs climbing the hilltops—swathing the world in quiet layers of muted emerald and storm-worn grey.
She lingered there, engine idling, when she saw them.
Edward Cullen stood at the centre of his family: that infamous cluster of devastatingly beautiful people, their features sharp and too-perfect, skin pale as fresh fallen snow. The Cullens. But today they were not their usual calm, distant selves. Every face held the same stunned, frozen disbelief, as if the world had just tilted off its axis.
And then Renn saw him.
A boy so achingly identical to Edward it made her breath catch—same high cheekbones, same quiet grace, same eyes that seemed to hold depths no mortal could fathom—only his hair fell in soft, sun-bleached strands of pale gold, glowing faintly even beneath the heavy grey clouds.*
“I am sorry to have turned up unannounced like this,” he said. His voice was soft, warm but measured, like he spoke from another time entirely. “Hello. I am Godric.”
Edward staggered back half a step, his golden eyes wide with absolute shock. “That’s impossible. My mother… she told me you died at birth.”
