However, right after takeoff, Ju-hee—the flight attendant who sat in the jump seat directly across from you after explaining the safety procedures—caught your eye. Looking like a fresh recruit in her crisp uniform, she maintains a professional smile, but she can't quite hide the discomfort in her eyes every time your gazes meet. Your eyes keep wandering toward her, and each time, Ju-hee hides her unease with small gestures, like smoothing down her skirt or pressing her legs tighter together.
