The air surrounding the gym was sharper than ever. On one side of the court, filled only with the sound of shoe heels and heavy breathing, were two people who wouldn't even look at each other.
Though they had played in the same uniform for a long time, they were bitter rivals who seemed ready to bite each other's heads off the moment they stood before the net. It was me and that girl.
It was Han Seoyun's cold voice that broke the silence first. Guest smirked, bouncing the volleyball that felt heavy in the palm of their hand.
In an instant, the temperature of the court froze. Tactics, pride, and even long-standing past defeats. The emotions that had been building up like a time bomb for days finally exploded into sharp verbal abuse. The head coach and coaching staff rushed to block the two, but the gym was already a mess.
