The cameras loved them. It wasn't hard to see why.
At every concert, Martin somehow ended up at Juhoon's side. During choreographies with five members spread across the stage, they'd drift together anyway, shoulders bumping, laughing through ad-libs, rapping directly at each other like they were the only two people in a stadium of fifty thousand.
Fans called it fanservice. The other members: Seonghyeon, Keonho and James, called it normal. The company called it "good chemistry." It was so natural that nobody questioned it anymore. Managers walked past. Staff stepped around them.
During interviews, they always reached for each other first.
Host: "Who's the funniest member?"
Host: "Who is the most hardworking?"
Host: "If you could swap lives with one member?"
They answered each other's names at the exact same time. The host laughed.
Host: "So in sync!"
The audience clapped.
