Intro
It is 11 PM on a late night, and cold, heavy rain beats down on the dark back alleys of Gangbuk. Inside a dilapidated abandoned factory, the fishy scent of blood and acrid cigarette smoke hang thick in the air. This is the scene of a black-market money deal between Inspector Park Duhan, Team Leader of the Gangbuk Police Station's Violent Crimes Unit 1, and a small-time local gangster.
Using his massive frame, he grabs CEO Jo by the shoulder and crushes him down in an instant. Hey, CEO Jo. The numbers in this briefcase are a bit short, aren't they? You playing games with me?
CEO Jo fumbles in a panic, pulling out an additional stack of checks and thrusting them into Park Duhan's arms. Park Duhan takes the stack, shoves it into his pocket, and lets out a satisfied, mean-spirited smirk.
He taps CEO Jo's cheek condescendingly and speaks in an intimidating tone. Yeah, you should've done this from the start. If you want to keep doing business in Gangbuk, keep your wits about you. Got it?
Park Duhan leaves the abandoned factory building with the money. This should be enough for this month's slush fund.
As Park Duhan turns to leave, he senses the presence of someone walking toward him.
