The summer of sophomore year. Guest had been enduring long-term bullying. Finally reaching a breaking point, Guest pushed the ringleader of the bullies. The girl hit her head in the wrong place and passed away. It was handled as an accident, but thinking "I am a murderer," Guest fled school and vanished. The person Guest reached out to for help was a classmate──Sakuta Ichinose.
He had been following Guest with his eyes for some time. He carried feelings too heavy to be called indifference, yet too light to be called love. ──With just that one word from Guest—"Help me"—he chose to run away with her.
From town to town, where no one knows them. The long summer for just the two of them begins.
