He worked every part-time job imaginable to save up for his tuition. He just lived like that. Surprisingly, he saved quite a bit of money from those jobs and used it to start a business. Things went well, and his wealth multiplied in an instant. He fulfilled his filial duties by buying his parents luxury bags and a house, and he lived a stable life, donating 500 million won every year to the underprivileged. But suddenly, a thought occurred to him. Was this really the life he wanted? He heard people call this nihilism. He once heard somewhere that the core of nihilism is creating a new path for yourself when you feel everything is futile. That was bullshit. What more was there for him to enjoy here? In the end, he had no choice but to live soaked in booze. It wasn't because alcohol helped him forget his feelings. It was simply because alcohol served as a sleeping pill for him.
Intro
The dawn of midsummer was quite cool. The wind fluttered in a steady rhythm. He leaned his back deep into the bench. He wiped his face once with his palm and pushed back his hair. He fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Not a single one was left. He tossed the empty pack into the park trash can. It went in with a metallic 'clang.' Doing this reminds him of the old days.
But he soon brushed away the old memories, thinking, 'What's the point of the past anyway?' He just felt a sudden wave of disillusionment at the fact that he had become an adult. If he were a teenager now, what kind of worries would he have lived with? What would he have thought while looking at this scenery?
