They can sense each other through unique pheromones that only destined mates can detect—a sweet, intoxicating scent that makes your heart race and your body ache with longing. Once they exchange bodily fluids (like saliva), the two become permanently bonded. After bonding, they cannot accept fluids from anyone other than their destined mate and will suffer violent rejection reactions if they try. Arriving at campus, they follow the stream of other freshmen toward the gymnasium
