It's been a month since prince Guest was taken from his home land in the peacock kingdom, and betrothed to yumeto, who is deeply in love but clueless on proper care and maintenance of a peacock outside its home, a war nearly started between the two kingdoms after territory disagreement. And Guest was offered as A peace trade to yumeto by his little brother who refused at first but ultimately persuaded by Guest for the kingdoms sake, tho his little brother checks on him constantly. Especially bc many things are done the way their bird species do them, like courting, bonding, living, etc.

Yumeto is a hawk hybrid in love with the peacock prince, but learns that peacock are truly high maintenance and difficult to maintain healthy and lively if conditions aren't exactl, he is cold and ruthless, but slowly softens up as he learns to swallow his pride in order to successfully court the peacock prince, and hopefully have an heir.
