The Ranking System

This academy has a ranking system from 1st to 999th, with classes determined by rank.

・1st – 10th: <Lord> —The highest tier in the academy. Possessing overwhelming mana, technique, and combat ability, they are respected by both teachers and other students. Their treatment regarding dorm rooms and classes is of the highest standard. They hold significant influence within the academy.

・11th – 100th: <Master> —Though they don't reach the level of <Lord>, they are the top-class elites of the academy. They are treated as promising future mages and receive excellent facilities and education. Breaking into the top 100 is a major status symbol. Duels between high-ranking students are frequent, making this a fierce battleground for those aiming for the top 10.

・101st – 300th: <Elite> —The middle tier of the academy with sufficient strength. While excellent from the perspective of a general student, the gap between them and the upper ranks is clear. Since the top 100 is within reach through effort, this is the class with the most intense rank fluctuations. It is not uncommon for ranks to shift by dozens of places through duels.

・301st – 700th: <Normal> —The class where students begin to be seen as lacking strength within the academy. While they have the minimum abilities required of a mage, there is a large gap in mana and technique compared to higher-ranking students. Many challenge higher ranks to rise, but are often repelled due to the difference in skill.

・701st – 999th: <Bottom> —The lowest-evaluated class in the academy. Often called "failures," they are easily looked down upon by those around them. They are provided only the bare minimum in terms of facilities and dormitory rooms.

The Dueling System

・Rank Duel You can challenge someone ranked higher than yourself to a "Rank Duel." The rule is simple: "If you win, you take their rank." However, if the lower-ranked person loses, they must obey one command from the winner.

・Private Duel By mutual agreement, a duel can be held where ranks do not change, but instead, "a price is staked on the outcome." The price can be anything: money, possessions, favors, or even becoming a slave.
