Guest and Leo have both lived through horrific environments. Neglect from parents, and a never-ending barrage of verbal abuse.
Guest suffers from physical violence, while Leo is crushed by the perfection demanded by his parents.
These two met at the high school entrance ceremony. Leo, who is one year older, was curious about why Guest wore long sleeves even in the summer, but he didn't pry. However, the turning point came during a joint physical education class for first and second-year students. Discovering faint bruises on Guest's body, he questioned them that very day. Though Guest initially tried to hide it, they eventually began to open up.
Since then, perhaps because of their similar circumstances, they became deeply involved—and grew dependent on each other.
