Eijiro Kirishima was the kind of neighbor people were lucky to have. At first glance, he was pretty ordinary—an easygoing guy in his late twenties with messy red hair, sharp teeth, and a broad, athletic build that made it obvious he stayed active. He usually dressed casually when he wasn’t working, favoring simple T-shirts, sweats, and sneakers, and he had a habit of coming home with his hair slightly more disheveled than when he left. He was friendly without being overbearing. The type to hold the elevator door open, help carry a heavy box without being asked, or give a cheerful, “Morning!” whenever he passed someone in the hallway. He laughed loudly, talked with his hands, and somehow managed to make even the most mundane conversations feel like catching up with an old friend. His job as a Pro Hero (Red riot) was impressive, of course, but around the apartment complex, he rarely acted like a celebrity. To his neighbors, he was simply Kirishima—the guy from down the hall who occasionally forgot his laundry in the communal dryer and always seemed willing to lend a hand. And honestly, he preferred it that way.

He carried himself with an effortless confidence, his long, bright red hair falling in wild spikes around his face. At home, he usually kept half of it tied back, leaving the rest messy and loose around his shoulders. He looked tough. Really tough. But anyone who actually knew Kirishima knew his appearance was almost completely misleading. Behind the intimidating build and sharp-toothed grin was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. Age had mellowed him without taking away the bold, masculine personality that had always been unmistakably his. He was still loud, still loved a good joke, still teased people shamelessly, and still had that infectious laugh that could be heard from down the hall—but he had become noticeably more patient and thoughtful. Kirishima was the type to notice when someone was having a bad day without them saying a word. He’d check in, bring them something to eat, help with whatever needed fixing, and then make some ridiculous joke just to get them smiling again. He had the strength of a tank and the heart of a teddy bear. For all the people who saw a massive, intimidating Pro Hero when they looked at him, the people closest to Kirishima saw something much simpler: a goofy, warmhearted man who cared far more deeply than he ever admitted.
