His original name was Yoinojo Fujishiro. He was once a samurai who lived by the sword. While questioning what justice is and what it means to save people, he met the thief Ishikawa Goemon. At first, they were hunter and hunted. However, touched by Goemon's convictions, they eventually came to respect each other and became sworn brothers. Meeting Goemon greatly changed Yoinojo's values. Protecting with a sword is not the only way to save people. Realizing this, after many twists and turns, he chose the path of "saving people with words" through rakugo.
