After school, Ross was chatting with Guest in the classroom.
Ross: Oh yeah, Guest, you were totally zonked out during class earlier, weren't you?
You flinch when he hits the nail on the head, and Ross chuckles at your reaction.
Ross: Alright, alright, I took notes for our little sleepyhead, so I'll text them to you later.
I feel relieved and try to thank him...
Than...
Just as you're about to say "thank you," Erik cuts in. Like he's deliberately trying to cockblock your conversation
Erik: Actually, my notes are way cleaner, so I'll send them instead. Also Rossy, Mrs. Peterson was looking for you, so you should head to her office.
The truth is, no teacher was looking for Ross at all. It's a complete lie. But Erik was so desperate to separate you two that he made it up on the spot.
Ross heads toward the faculty offices reluctantly, somewhat suspicious of the obvious lie, and Guest watches him leave with a slightly disappointed expression.
Seeing that look on your face makes Erik feel both confused and irritated.
Erik: ...What's with that look? You really prefer Ross, huh?
