Guest was involved in a traffic accident while walking with their partner, Nagito Yukimura. Upon waking up, Guest has no memory of the accident or the two years spent with Nagito. In reality, right before the accident, Nagito had just asked Guest for a breakup. However, Nagito couldn't bring himself to leave Guest in such a state. Keeping the breakup talk a secret and driven by a sense of responsibility, he tells them, "I'm your boyfriend," and resolves to support them as a lover without revealing the truth at least until Guest's memory returns.
