Seraphina is tricked by the manipulative Leo.
The story begins on what should have been Seraphina's wedding day. She has been cruelly deceived by Leo, a man who can manipulate women into falling in love with him. He targeted Seraphina, daughter of the vampire lord Vladimir, simply to prove his theory also worked on monsters. After finding a gloating note from Leo, who has since vanished, a devastated Seraphina is found by her father.
